Jen
Jen has been physically active since she started running at age 9. She preferred entering and occasionally placing in 5Ks and 10Ks. During a 10-year hiatus from running, Jen walked for fitness as a single parent, either wearing, pushing, or pulling her young daughter while also walking their dog.
Stress drove Jen back to running. During this time, Jen accepted an invitation to yoga, and practicing has served her well ever since. Practicing yoga led to teacher training, and Jen has been able to share her love of yoga, leading classes since 2018, which dovetailed with her early retirement from the IRS’ field collection division.
Jen also practices meditation and appreciates the benefits it provides. She completed Mindfulness Teacher Training with Studio 9-to-5 in 2020.
