Emily
Emily has been practicing yoga for a little over five years. Yoga has been many things to Emily – a physical practice, an emotional outlet, an expression of beauty, and a mental challenge. The beauty of yoga, to her, lies within its versatility – you can enter a yoga class on a great day, and use that practice as a reflection on gratitude or joy. You can walk into the studio feeling confused and sad, and set your intention as gentleness towards oneself. We as humans are constantly ebbing and flowing every single day of our lives emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Yoga as a physical practice is a mirroring of that movement through life.
Emily recently stepped into the seat of instructor after completing 250 hours of Power Yoga Teacher Training in Minneapolis. When she isn’t working her ‘9-to-5’ (pun intended!) or on her mat, you can find her fly fishing in Northeast Iowa with her family, listening to a political podcast on a stroll around Loring Park, or diligently studying to become a connoisseur of all things coffee and red wine.
